GATE stands for "Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering" conducted by seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) every year for admissions to various master courses in Engineering and Science.GATE examination is a Computer based online Examination and the answer would be recorded at the server.

The last session of GATE i.e GATE-2016 was conducted by IISc Banglore and for the upcoming session, IIT Roorkee is going to organize GATE-2017.
