Basic Details

VITEEE is standing for "Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam" which is conducted for the admissions to B.Tech programmes. Vellore Institute of Technology, VIT, has four campuses at Vellore, Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), and Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh). VITEEE-2020 will be held in the month of April this year by both campuses.

This exam will be conducted in 215 cities of 34 states/union territory apart from national exam centers there will be internationally 3 more centers are available (DUBAI, KUWAIT, MUSCAT) for the VITEEE-2020 exam. Every year about 2 lakhs candidates are appeared in VITEEE to compete for 5000 seats in engineering with each other to get admission at VIT University's campuses. The application forms are available in both mode online as well as in offline mode at VIT official website(online) and selected post office (offline). Candidates have to fill their appropriate details like Name, DOB, Email Id and personal details in the application form. The online exam will be conducted for the candidates in three time slots which can be booked by candidates as per their comfort and schedule.

Eligibility

Educational Qualification-

  1. Candidates whose date of birth is after 1st July 1999 only those students are eligible to apply for the VITEEE-2021 examination.
  2. Candidates who have secured 60% marks in Physics, Mathematics/Biology, Chemistry (for GENERAL and OBC) and 50% (for SC/ST and North Eastern State) for the same in there 12th examination/qualifying examination only those candidates are permitted to apply for VITEEE-2021.
  3. Those candidates who have regular, full time and formal education course only those students are eligible to apply in VITEEE-2021.
  4. "NIOS" candidates are also eligible to sit in VITEEE-2021.




Exam Pattern

  • VITEEE-2021 examination will be of 2 hours 30 minutes duration.
  • There is a total of 125 questions carrying 1 marks to each correct answer and no negative marking for wrong choices.
  • It will consist of four sections and there will be no break throughout the exam which is shown below:

Selection Procedure

VITEEE is one of the toughest and prestigious Engineering Examination in India for which the selection procedure is explained below in detail:

  • Registration for VITEEE
    First of all, the candidate must have to register himself/herself for VITEEE and please before filling the application form check all norms for the examination that you are eligible for VITEEE-2021.
     
  • VITEEE Examination
    Now it's your turn, your preparations has been comleted and now you have to prove your worth and need to appear in VITEEE examination, if candidate shortlisted then he/she allowed for further process.
     
  • RESULT
    After the declaration of result, you can download your counselling letter and prepare all important documents that required at the counselling time so that you can avoid problems created at the time of counselling.
     
  • Counselling
    The last move to get admission in VIT University to appear for the counselling where candidates have to fill their branch preferences on the basis of which they will get admission on the confirmation of seat and acceptance of branch alloted.




Counselling Procedure

Counselling process is started after the declaration of the VITEEE result through which candidates can get admission for the undergraduate courses in VIT. Those candidates who want to appear in the counselling of VIT will have to submit the DD of Rs. 50,000/- in favor of "VIT University" payable at Vellore. In this amount of Rs. 50,000/- there will be Rs. 10,000/- is counselling fees which are Non-refundable but candidate adjusted this amount in their tuition fees during their admission.

Important documents that required for counselling:

  • VITEEE Admit Card.
  • VITEEE Counselling Letter.
  • VITEEE Result copy or Rank Card.
  • Any age proof Certificate as a proof of date of birth (Class 10th Certificate is also Applicable).
  • Marksheet for qualifying the examination if any candidate didn't get their marksheet and waiting for result they can show 12th class Board Hall ticket.
  • Community/ Caste certificate (Only for SC/ST).
  • Nativity Certificate (for candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura).
  • Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 50,000/-  drawan in favor of "VIT University" payable at Vellore.
  • In case, if any Candidate failed to make DD for the above said amount will not be permitted to attend counselling and for further process.

Preparation Strategy

  1. VITEEE generally follows the NCERT questions and pattern so students have advised to cover all questions and examples of the NCERT it will be beneficial for them.
  2. Every information related to syllabus you can avail that from here. If you want to succeed in the VITEEE then you have to cover all the topics with proper concepts which are given below in VITEEE - Syllabus for 2021.
  3. Practice more and more so that you will become habitual to solve the questions which help in brush up your concepts and you will be also understood Time Management.
  4. Do your preparation in your own way means to create your shortcut and tricks to understand the problems.
  5. Do not memorize only, do some written practice also.

In VITEEE, mostly it selects the questions from the “Central Board of Secondary Examination” CBSE and State “Board of Higher Secondary Education”. Syllabus of VITEEE is divided into five parts you have to cover and well prepare them which is given below:

PART-1-Physics
Laws of Motion & Work, Energy and Power, Properties of Matter, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Electric Current, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Current, Optics, Dual Nature of Radiation and Atomic Physics, Nuclear Physics, Semiconductor Devices and their Applications.

PART-2-Chemistry
Atomic Structure, p, d and f – Block Elements, Coordination Chemistry and Solid State Chemistry, Thermodynamics, Chemical Equilibrium and Chemical Kinetics, Electrochemistry, Isomerism in Organic Compounds, Alcohols and Ethers, Carbonyl Compounds, Carboxylic Acids and their derivatives, Organic Nitrogen Compounds and Biomolecules.

PART-3-Mathematics
Matrices and their Applications, Trigonometry and Complex Numbers, Analytical Geometry of two dimensions, Vector Algebra, Analytical Geometry of Three Dimensions, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus and its Applications, Differential Equations, Probability Distributions, Discrete Mathematics.

PART-4-Biology
Taxonomy, Cell and Molecular Biology, Reproduction, Genetics and evolution, human health and diseases, Biochemistry, Plant physiology, Human physiology, Biotechnology and its applications, Biodiversity, ecology and environment.

PART-5-English
There will be five questions of English in which three questions are based on “Comprehension” and remaining two based on “English Grammar and Pronunciation”.
