BITSAT is an online test for admissions to various Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses at Pilani Campus, K.K. Birla Campus & Hyderabad Campus.

BITSAT is a computer based online test organized by Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. This test is for admissions to Pillani Campus, K.K.Birla Goa Campus & Hyderabad Campus for various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Here the admissions are made purely on the basis of merit.

Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria for All Programs except B.Pharma

• Candidates should have passed 12th from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
• Candidate should have scored a  minimum of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
• Candidate should have also scored at least 60% marks in all other subjects.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Pharma

• Candidates should have passed 12th from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
• Candidate should have scored a minimum of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
• Candidate should have also scored at least 60% marks in all other subjects.

Some other Points will also consider as the Eligibility Criteria which must be full fill by the candidate to appear for the Exam

1. If a candidate has taken more than one attempt then his latest performance will be considered.
2. Students who are presently studying in BITSAT, are not allowed to appear in the exam.
3. The students who are appearing in the 12th or have passed last year are eligible to appear for the exam.
4. There will be the priority for the toppers students direct admissions are given to the board toppers.

Candidates need to apply for admission with 12th marks and Preferences in between prescribed date.

Exam Pattern

• The BITSAT test duration is of 3 hours without any break.
• All questions are of multiple choice type.
• Each question has 4 choices for answers to pick from, with only one correct choice.
• For every correct answer, you will be given +3 marks and for  every wrong one -1 mark will be deducted from your score.
• No marks will be penalized for not attempted questions.
• There will be a total of 150 Questions.
• If two students secure same marks then marks scored in Biology/Mathematics will be considered to distinguish between them.
• There is no time limit for any section. Candidates can go back at any time during a test and change their answers.
• If a candidate answers all 150 questions before time then he will be directed to 12 extra questions for extra marks.
• Once the candidate is directed to these extra questions he cannot go back and attempt the previous 150 questions.
• These 12 Questions will be from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. 4 from each.
• Questions and instructions will be in English only.
• Candidates must bring a pen for calculation purpose and sign. Blank sheets for calculation will be provided if required.
• Mobiles, calculators and logarithmic tables are not allowed.

Selection Procedure

The merit list of students will be prepared on the basis of their BITSAT score and will be called out for counselling depending upon their score.

Counselling Procedure

The students will have to lock their choices and if seats on the particular college are available then the students will get admission to their selected college.

Preparation Strategy

• BITSAT test  follows the NCERT syllabus so students are advised to cover all questions and examples of the NCERT book it will be beneficial for them.

• Main subjects for BITSAT  exam are Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. You have to cover all topics of 11th and 12th standard. Most important is that your basics must be strong to crack BITSAT exam and your concept for these subjects should be properly done.
• If you want to crack the BITSAT exam then you have to cover all the topics with proper concepts which are given in BITSAT Syllabus.
