UGC NET 2018: First Exam to be Conducted in December by NTA

The newly formed national level entrance examination authority, National Testing Agency (NTA), will conduct UGC NET 2018 first examination in December. This will be the first time NTA conducting the UGC NET examination, before this CBSE was the conducting body for the UGC NET entrance exam on behalf of UGC.

As per the released schedule by HRD Minister on 7th July 2018, the exam will be conducted in between 2nd December 2018 to 12th December 2018 on Saturday and Sunday in two shifts per day. The online applications will be starts from 1st September 2018. The result of UGC NET December 2018 will be announced in the last week of January 2019.

The examination will be conducted in online mode and NTA will establish a network of test practice centres for students of rural areas so that everyone will have an opportunity to practice before the exam. However, the details of such centres would be announced soon and student can use the facility free of charge. The complete schedule of UGC NET 2018 is given below:

UGC NET July 2018 examination has been conducted successfully yesterday i.e. 8th July 2018 by CBSE in 84 subjects at 91 selected NET Examination Cities spread across the country for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor both in Indian Universities and Colleges.
