JEE Mains 2019: Phase 1 Registrations to be Starts from Next Week

National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Mains phase 1 schedule and exam will be commenced from 6th January to 20th January 2019 in multiple sessions. From this year and onwards the JEE Mains will be conducted twice in a year by NTA. The first phase of the examination will be held in January 2019 and second phase examination will conduct in May 2019. Apart from JEE Mains, NTA will also be conducting UGC NET, CMAT, GMAT and NEET as well.

Those aspirants who want to apply for the JEE Mains phase 1 examination they can apply online at the official website from 1st September 2018 and they can apply on or before 30th September 2018.

JEE Main will be conducted in online mode only and will be conducted in multiple sessions from 6th January to 20th January 2019 (as per released schedule), the complete schedule of JEE Mains is given below:

JEE Mains Eligibility Criteria

Age Criteria:

  • Those candidates who born on or after 1st of October, 1993 only those candidates will be allowed for JEE Mains 2019.
  • SC, ST and PwD candidates have given 5 years extra relaxation that means these candidates D.O.B should have been on or after 1st of October, 1988.

Total No. of Attempts:

  • Maximum of Three attempts are allowed for the JEE Mains but only Two attempts allowed in consecutive years i.e those candidates who appeared in JEE Mains 2018 they are eligible for JEE Mains 2019.

Class 12th Examination:

  • Those candidates who have appeared for 12th standard examination for the first time in all subjects in either 2017 or 2018 they are eligible for JEE Mains 2019.
  • Those candidates who appeared for 12th standard last year and want to re-appear in their next attempt they will have to re-appear again in all the subjects in the current 12th standard.
  • Those candidates who appeared for the first time in his/her 12th standard examination in 2016 or earlier they are strictly NOT allowed or eligible for JEE Mains-2019.  In case, whose 12th Standard examination was declared after June 2016 for the session 2015-16 they are eligible for JEE Mains-2019.

Note: MHRD had earlier announced that JEE Main will be conducted twice and will be a computer-based test. It also said that out of the two exams, the best score would be used to prepare the merit list of candidates.
