Increment in Number of seats in Central Universities After Getting Approval from Honorable Central HRD Minister Dr. Prakash Javadekar


“There is the plenty of room to broaden the spectrum in central universities and Ministry of Human resources is planning to increase the number of seats in central universities," as per honorable Central HRD minister Dr. Prakash Javadekar.  This decision has been taken in the meeting of vice-chancellors of all the Central Universities, headed by honorable Central minister Dr. Prakash Javadekar on Thursday, 6 Oct 2016.
 
Vice-chancellors have been told to produce the complete strategy towards increment of seats in their universities. All the IITs and IIMs are being considered for the same as well. This meeting had been Conducted at Banaras Hindu university’s premises, and 36 Vice-chancellors of Central universities and 4 of other universities, had attended the meeting. The meeting was conducted in two sessions.
 
As per honorable Union HRD minister Dr. Prakash Javadekar, now on, these central universities will work like "Centre Of Excellence". The HRD ministry is trying to carry on honorable Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi’s vision and all these efforts are being taken in the same direction.

There would be a national depository which will give digital certificates which will control the corruption in fake certifications and degrees.  Vice-chancellors have also been told to fill all the vacant positions in their universities, as these vacant positions ranges from 10-50% in the universities all together . The same will go for the NITs as well. However, maintain the autonomy over Curriculum will always be in the hands of universities and there will be no compromise over Curriculum.

The strict action will be taken on fake universities and colleges, the HRD ministry urged. According to Central HR state minister, Dr. Mahendra Pandey, Primary Education will be reshaped with same planning.  This pilot project will give training's to the Science teachers, who come from primary schools of 88 blocks of Varanasi and Mirzapur districts. And if this project turns successful, then the project will be implemented in the entire country. The training program will be conducted by Madan Mohan Malviya Education Center.
