UPSC 2018: CMS Examination notification released

UPSC released the recruitment notification for the Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination 2018. Those aspirants who want to apply they can apply online from the official website of UPSC. The application is available online on the official website and the last date to apply is 25th May 2018.

As per the UPSC Exam calendar, the notification scheduled to be released on 11th April 2018 and last date for receipt of Application were on 7th May 2018 but due to delay in the notification to apply due to which the last date to apply also extended. Those candidates who want to apply, they must ensure that they are fulfilling all eligibility criteria for admission to the Examination. Download the Official Notification

The number of vacancies to be filled on the results of this examination is being finalized.

The services/posts identified for PwBD Categories for Combined Medical Services Examination 2018 is as under:-

(i) 12 (Twelve) Vacancies of Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in the Railways are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability belonging to Locomotor Disability having functional classification BL, OL, OA.

(ii) One Vacancy of Assistant Medical Officer in Indian Ordnance Factories Health Service is reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability having functional Classification OL.

(iii) 6 (Six) Vacancies of Junior Scale Posts in Central Health Services are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability (a) Blindness and low vision – 02 (Two) , (b) Deaf and hard of hearing-NIL , (c) Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy -02(Two) and (d) and (e) autism, intellectual disability, specific 3 learning disability and mental illness; Multiple disabilities from amongst person under clauses (a) to (d) including deaf-blindness in the posts identified for each disabilities – 02 (Two).

(iv) NIL vacancy of General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council.

(v) NIL vacancy of General Duty Medical Officer in East Delhi Municipal Corporation, North Delhi Municipal Corporation and South Delhi Municipal Corporation.

 

Exam Pattern of CMS 2018

The exam will be conducted in two parts, the first part will be Computer-based Examination and the second part will be a Personality test. The detailed exam pattern is given below in tabular form:

Registration Process:

The candidates will be allowed to apply online from the official website of UPSC and the registration will take place in two Parts. The candidates should have valid Email ID and Mobile no. for the registration in Part 1. After successful registration and filling up the form in Part - I candidate will be able to do registration in Part – II.

Application Fee for CMS 2018

The cost of Application fee is Rs. 200/-, the candidates (Excepting Female/SC/ST/PH candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or they can pay their fee online by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card.

Note: Candidates who opt for application fee "Pay by cash" mode should print the system generated Pay-in-slip during Part-II registration and deposit the fee at the counter of SBI Branch on the next working day only. "Pay by cash" mode option will be deactivated at 23.59 hours of 24.05.2018 i.e. one day before the closing date of application; however, applicants who have generated their Pay-in-slip before it is de-activated may pay at the counter of SBI Branch during banking hours on the closing date. Such applicants who are unable to pay by cash on the closing date i.e. during banking hours to SBI Branch, for reason whatsoever, even if holding a valid Pay-in-slip, will have no other offline option but those candidates who opt for online Debit/Credit Card or Internet Banking Payment mode for them closing date will be till 6.00 P.M. of 25.05.2018.
