Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has released the schedule for the National Eligibility Test for M.A. Programmes. The online applications will start from 22nd October and candidate can apply online through portal.
The mode of examination will be online i.e. Computer based exam, the exam will be held on Saturday, 19th January 2019, from 2:00 P.M. to 3:40 P.M. in 39 centres located in different parts of the country. The complete schedule of the exam is given below in a tabular form.

Marking Scheme of TISSNET 2019

Important Points:
- There is no negative marking in the TISSNET.
- The weightage for NET, PIT and PI for the preparation of final merit lists for General as well as for Reserved Category candidates is NET – 40%, PIT – 30% and PI – 30%.
- Candidates are advised to indicate their preferences carefully because merit list will be prepared on the basis of NET, PIT and PI merits and the preferences indicated by the candidates at the time of filling up the online application form.

How to Apply for TISSNET 2019
- Candidates are needed to apply online from the TISS Admission portal.
- Complete the registration process by providing the relevant details.
- After completing the registration process, fill the online application form.
- Upload all the documents in prescribed manner.
- Pay the online application form fee through credit card/ debit card/ net banking.
- A candidate can apply for multiple programmes and pay for each of those programmes in a single application form.
- Candidates can apply for a maximum of three programmes across any two of the TISS Campuses and other Centre locations.
- After filling up the online application, submit the online application form and take a printout of the submitted form for the future aspects.
Note: Candidates should not fill more than one form. If a candidate is found to have filled more than one online form, all his/her applications will be cancelled.
Those candidates who don’t have internet and telecommunication facilities, they can get offline application form from the institute. Candidates are needed to send request for printed form by Speed Post with application fees to Assistant Registrar (Academic), Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Deonar Mumbai, 400088. Please note that candidates applying through the E-application form need not send the application form by post.
