NIRF ranking 2019 of overall colleges has been released by MHRD in April 2019 and this year Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) tops the list followed by the last year’s top college Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru (IISc Bangalore). This year also MHRD released the NIRF ranking for top 100 Colleges in India for which total of 1479 colleges participated.

Interestingly, among the top 10 colleges list 7 colleges are Indian Institute of Technology and other 3 colleges are Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi bagged rank of 2, 7 and 10 respectively.
