National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) is a common medical entrance exam which is conducted by CBSE from the last two years. This year NEET UG 2018 will be conducted in one phase and scheduled to be conducted tomorrow i.e. 6th May 2018. All the medical colleges except AIIMS and JIPMER accept the NEET score for the admission to its MBBS and BDS courses. Total of 53,430 seats is offered under NEET UG in which 25,840 seats offered by private institutions and 27,590 seats offered by the government colleges.

The NEET aspirants should know about the minute by minute activity at the exam hall. The time schedule on the exam day is given below so that students can prepare themselves according to them.

Exam Pattern

  1. The Entrance Test shall consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with a single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using ballpoint pen provided by CBSE at the examination center only.
  2. The NEET exam duration would be of 3:00 Hours.
  3. Those candidates who qualifying NEET would be eligible for All India Quota and other quotas under the State Governments/Institutes, irrespective of the medium in which the examination is taken by a candidate, subject to other eligibility criteria.

Some Important Instructions

  1. Candidates are allowed to wear light clothes with half sleeves not having big buttons, brooch/badge, flower etc. with Salwar/Trouser.
  2. The candidates are only allowed to wear slippers, sandals with low heels and not the shoes.
  3. Candidates should have to bring admit card and two passport size photograph only.
  4. All rough work is to be done in the Test Booklet only and will not do any rough work or put stray mark on the machine gradable Answer Sheet.
  5. Use only Black/Blue ballpoint pen.
  6. The pen will be provided to the students at the examination hall with the question booklet for the writing of particulars on the Test Booklet and responses on the answer sheet.
  7. No candidate shall be allowed to use toilets in last 30 minutes of NEET examination i.e. in between 12.30 PM to 01.00 PM.
  8. After the completion of the examination, the candidate must hand over the duly signed OMR Sheet to the Invigilator and take away only the Test Booklet. After handing over the signed OMR Sheet, candidates will allow leaving examination hall.
