Doodle 4 Google 2018: Contest Announced by Google, Chance For Indian Students to win 5 Lakh Scholarship

Yesterday i.e. on Monday, 13th August 2018, Google had announced the "2018 Doodle 4 Google" contest for the Indian students and inviting creative and art-loving students across India to bring their imagination to life for the search engine giant's logo. Google conducting this contest every year across the world. This year's theme for the doodle is "what inspires me". The winning doodle will be showcased on the www.google.co.in page and the winner will win loads of prizes.

All Students of class 1 to 10 can apply for the contest on or before 6th October 2018, until 10:00 PM as per Indian Standard Time (IST). Through this contest, Indian students can win a $30,000 college scholarship, a $50,000 tech package for their school/non-profit organization, and a behind-the-scenes experience with the Doodle team to transform your Doodle into an interactive experience on Google.com and the winning doodle would also get featured on Google's homepage on Children's Day.

How to Enter in the Contest

To get the entry in the “Doodle 4 Google” contest all students’ doodles must be entered using the entry form. Parents and teachers can mail the completed entry form or submit it online as a .png, or .jpg on the doodles.google.co.in website on or before 6th October 2018, until 10:00 PM as per Indian Standard Time (IST). Several steps students have to follow which are given below:

  1. The student can Download or print the entry form from the official website. Click Here
  2. Doodle: Students (Artists) can create their doodles using any materials they want.
  3. Write:
    A. Doodle description - Write an artist statement to tell a bit more about what you have drawn and how it represents something that inspires you.

    B. Fill out the rest of the required information and sign the entry form.
  4. Submit:
    A. Enter the contest.

    B. Entry form doodles: If the doodle is created directly on our entry form, you can either upload them to our site as a .jpg or .png (by visiting the enter tab on the homepage) or mail them in (address listed on the enter tab).

    C. Detached doodles: If the doodle wasn't created directly on our entry form, take a high res digital photo or scan of the doodle in good lighting and combine it with the entry form.

A panel of guest judges including the original doodle team leader at Google, Ryan Germick, will review the entries this year. The internal judging and jury votes would finally shortlist the top 20 doodles that would be put up for public voting from October 23 to November 5, the official statement said.
