CBSE Exam 2018: Online Applications for Verification of Marks for Class 10 and 12 start today

Central Board of Secondary Education has started the invite of online applications for the class 10 and 12 verification of marks from today. Those candidates who are not satisfied with their marks as per their performance they can apply for the verification.

The schedule to apply for revaluation, verification of marks, application to obtain a photocopy of evaluated answer sheet is released by CBSE yesterday. The candidate can apply online for the verification on or before 5th June 2018 by paying Rs. 500/- for each subject.

This year, more than 90,000 students of class 12th got compartment while 1.86 lakh students of Class 10th got a compartment. The process and instructions for verification of marks, obtaining Photocopy of evaluated answer sheets and Re-evaluation is given below one by one:

  1. Application for Verification of Marks:
    1. Request online for the verification along with the fee of Rs.500/- per subject (only online payment accepted through Credit/Debit card/Netbanking) from the official website of CBSE before schedule time.
    2. The result of the verification will be uploaded on the website of CBSE. However, in case of a mistake (or change in marks), a formal letter will also be sent to the applicant by speed post through concerned Regional Office of CBSE.
    3. In a case where there is no change of marks in candidates copy, no letter will be sent by CBSE. Students are advised to visit the official website of CBSE for the status of verification request.
    4. Request for verification will only be accepted once; another chance will not be given to the students.
    5. Only those candidates who apply online for verification of Marks will be eligible to apply for obtaining a photocopy of the answer book.
       
  1. Application for Obtaining Photocopy of the evaluated answer book:
    1. Apply online along with the fee of Rs.500/- per subject for Class 10 and Rs. 700/- per subject for Class 12 (Fee accepted in online mode only through Credit/Debit card/Netbanking) from the official website of CBSE before schedule time.
    2. Only those candidates who have applied for verification of marks shall be eligible to apply for obtaining photocopy (ies) of the evaluated answer-book(s).
    3. Photocopy of the evaluated answer book will be provided after blocking all information relating to the identity of the Examiner/ Evaluator/ any other official associated with the examination process.
    4. The decision of the Competent Authority of the Board on the Marks awarded shall be final and will not be changed in future.
    5. Board will not be responsible for any loss or damage or any inconvenience caused to the candidate, consequent upon the delay in communication for reasons beyond control.
       
  2. Re-Evaluation Of Evaluated Answer Book:
    1. Only those candidates who have applied for obtaining a photocopy of the evaluated answer book shall be eligible to apply for re-evaluation or challenge the marks awarded to any question(s).
    2. Request for re-evaluation/challenge for a particular question(s) only in theory paper shall be received in online mode on or before scheduled time and payment accepted only through Credit /Debit Cards /Netbanking.
    3. Request for re-evaluation/challenges shall be applicable only to the theory portion at Rs. 100/- per question. The applicant will have to refer to the marking scheme in the subject concerned which would be available on the website along with the question paper and then submit an application for re-evaluation in the required question(s) with reason.
    4. In cases where marks are increased or decreased a fresh marks statement shall be issued to such candidates after surrendering the old Marks Statement by the candidate(s) concerned.
    5. The status of re-evaluation shall be uploaded on the website for the subject and question (s) for which applied, followed by a formal letter by speed post.
    6. There will be no appeal or review against the re-evaluation entertained.

Important instructions:

  1. None application will be accepted without Fees.
  2. The fees will be non-refundable.
  3. Incomplete applications or offline applications will not be considered and rejected automatically.
  4. The Board will not be responsible for any loss or damage or any inconvenience caused to the candidate, consequent to the revision of marks if any or delay in communication for reasons beyond control.
