This year VIT has also launched a law school for students. The two courses currently available, B.A. LL..B (Hons) and BBA LL.B (Hons) can be applied through online application forms available at its website from the first week of APRIL 2017 onwards.

 

About VIT Law School

VIT Law School. which is approved by bar council of India ( BCI No. – D 331/2014(LE)), is build under the patronage of VIT University. This law school came into operations this year, aiming to be the best law school in the school. The school's website states that the motto of the institute is SUI GENERIS SINE DUBIO which connotes unique, without a doubt”.  Though much cannot be said for its first year of its operations though if the website is to believe that it offers that the course is designed to encourage the mooting abilities, oratorical skills, interpreting and analyzing skills of the budding lawyers by conducting weekly seminars, frequent Moot court training, court visits, etc

 

Courses Offred by VIT Law School

B.A., LL.B (Hons.)

VIT Law School offers 5 years integrated B.A., LLB(Hons.) programme wherein subjects that fall under the domain of Arts and Law will be taught to the students. The curriculum of the Arts subjects such as Economics, Sociology and Political Science have been designed to have maximum interaction with the law which would guide the students in application of law in the real world.

BBA., LL.B (Hons.)

VIT Law School offers BBA., LLB(Hons.), which is a 5 year Integrated programme. More than 30 credits on Business Management are offered as part of the course. Students who aspire to join the corporate world after graduation will have a better understanding of the corporate structure, its Management and other features. Subjects such as Principles of Management. Financial Accounting, Financial Management, Managerial Economics that provide immense knowledge about Business Management are offered in this programme.

 

Eligibility for VIT Law School

  • The applicant for admission should be a Resident Indian National, and should have studied regular full time and formal education in the preceding two years in schools located in India.
  • A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 70% overall aggregate.
  • The aggregate marks obtained in the subjects in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 60% for the following categories.
    • Candidates belonging to SC/ST
    • Candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
  • Age limit: Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1997 are eligible to apply.
  • Score Card: The candidate should have appeared for CLAT/ LSAT/ Any other widely recognised Law test and should have secured an impressive score in each component of the test.

 

Admission Procedure VIT Law School

  • Selection is based on merit.
  • Marks secured in higher secondary school examination, and the performance in Group Discussion & Personal Interview.
  • Weightage will be given for candidates who have good scores in National level Law Entrance Examination.

 

How to Apply to VIT Law School?

  1. Candidates can apply online at www.vit.ac.in through the Net banking /Credit card/Debit card
  2. The cost of application is Rs.600/-. The application cost is non-refundable.

Kindly send the hardcopy of the filled-out application form, along with the below enclosures

  • Age proof Certificate / X marks sheet Copy.
  • XII mark sheet of all attempts.
  • CLAT / LSAT/ ANY other valid Score card.
