JEE Advanced 2018: Check the JoSAA 2018 Counselling Schedule Here

The result of JEE Advanced 2018 was announced by IIT Kanpur yesterday, in which 18,138 candidates have qualified (16,062 boys and 2,076 girls). The candidates can do registrations from 15th June 2018 and the first round of seat allocation will be announced on June 27.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct the counselling for the admissions to 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs), 23 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), 23 other Government Funded Technical Institutes (other-GFTIs) and IIEST.

The counselling schedule of JoSAA 2018 is given below for which candidates do registration from the 15th June 2018 and will end on 25th June 2018. Check the complete schedule in the table given below:

Documents to be submitted at the reporting Centre at the time of Seat Acceptance:

The candidates should have checked the list of required documents for seat acceptance, the candidates have to bring the original set of documents along with the self-attested photocopy at the reporting center. The order of the documents must be in the same order as given below:

For IITs:

  1. Provisional seat allotment letter.
  2. Class XII performance check (format given in Annexure 7(a) of JoSAA Business rules).
  3. Undertaking by the candidate (format given in Annexure 9 of JoSAA Business rules).
  4. Proof of seat acceptance fee payment by online net banking of State Bank of India (SBI), debit cards issued ONLY by SBI and E-Challan by SBI (For SC/ST/PwD: Rs. 15,000/- For others: Rs. 35,000/-).
  5. Photo identity card (issued by govt. agency/last attended school/Class XII admit card).
  6. Original Admit card of JEE (ADV) 2018.
  7. Date of birth proof (Class X marks sheet).
  8. Class XII (or equivalent) board marks sheet. If available, pass certificate.
  9. Medical certificate (format given in Annexure 8 of JoSAA Business rules).
  10. Category certificate (OBC-NCL/SC/ST), if applicable.
    a. For state-wise central list of SCs, please refer http://socialjustice.nic.in/UserView/index?mid=76750
    b. For state-wise central list of STs, please refer https://tribal.nic.in/ST/LatestListofScheduledtribes.pdf
    c. The OBC-NCL certificate should be dated on or after April 1, 2018. The certificate should clearly mention that the candidate belongs to non-creamy layer and the caste of the candidate must be in the state-wise central list of OBCs given at http://www.ncbc.nic.in/User_Panel/CentralListStateView.aspx
  11. Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), if applicable.
  12. Passport of the candidate and parents (for foreign nationals), OCI certificate or PIO card, if applicable
  13. DS certificate (if applicable).
  14. Registration-cum-locked choices for seat allotment.
  15. Two passport size photographs identical to the one uploaded during JEE (Main/ADV) 2018 registration.

For NITs and other GFTIs:

  1. Three passport size photographs identical to the one uploaded during JEE (Main) 2018 registration.
  2. Class XII performance check (format given in Annexure 7(b) of JoSAA Business rules).
  3. Provisional seat allotment letter.
  4. Undertaking by the candidate (format given in Annexure 9 of JoSAA Business rules).
  5. Proof of seat acceptance fee payment by online net banking of State Bank of India (SBI), debit cards issued ONLY by SBI and E-Challan by SBI (For SC/ST/PwD: Rs. 15,000/- For others: Rs. 35,000/-).
  6. Photo identity card (issued by govt. agency/last attended school/Class XII admit card).
  7. Admit card of JEE (Main) 2018.
  8. Scorecard of JEE (Main) 2018 (downloaded from JEE (Main) portal).
  9. Date of birth proof (Class X marks sheet).
  10. Class XII (or equivalent) board marks sheet. If available, pass certificate:
    a. “State code of eligibility” is determined using qualifying examination certificate.
    b. Indian nationals who passed the qualifying examination from Nepal/Bhutan or an institution abroad must bring a passport. Permanent address given in the passport will determine state code.
    c. The candidates having Senior Secondary Certificate from the National Open School must bring the proof of place of examination center of the final examination to determine the state code.
  11. Medical certificate (format given in Annexure 8 of JoSAA Business rules).
  12. Category certificate (OBC-NCL/SC/ST), if applicable (format given).
    a. For state-wise central list of SCs, please refer http://socialjustice.nic.in/UserView/index?mid=76750

    c. The OBC-NCL certificate should be dated on or after April 1, 2018.   13. Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), if applicable. The certificate will be rejected if the disability is less than 40%.
  14. OCI certificate or PIO card, if applicable.
  15. Registration-cum-locked choices for seat allotment.

So, those candidates who qualify the JEE Advanced or JEE Mains they should do their registration on the portal before the end date and report at the centre for the choice filling. The final seat allotment will be released on 18th July 2018 at 05:00 PM after which all the admission process of JoSAA will be closed for the session 2018-2019.
