Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) invites the applications for the engineering and sciences PhD programmes. Those candidates who are eligible and want to get admission they can apply online from the official portal on or before 25^th October 2018.

Admissions to AcSIR Ph.D. programmes are conducted twice in a year at different locations in India. Shortlisted candidates who are fulfilling the shortlisting criteria, they will be called for test and / or interview by the Selection Committees of the engineering and sciences laboratories of CSIR. Eligibility Criteria for Admission

For Ph.D in Engineering-

Candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology following a four year  engineering/technology  or 4/5 year science degree; or an integrated minimum 5 year M Tech degree; or equivalent.

AND

Candidate should have fulfilled at least one of the following:

• Should be awarded with a national level fellowship (such as NET JRF) tenable at CSIR institutes.
• Should meet all the conditions required for eligibility for the CSIR-SRF.
• Should meetalltheconditionsforawardoftheINSPIREfellowship(typicallyawardedto students ranked first in the University).
• Should meet all the conditions stipulated by AcSIR for Project Assistants to register for a Ph.D.
• Should meet all the conditions stipulated by AcSIR for industry-sponsored students.

For Integrated Dual-Degree Ph.D. (IDDP) Program

Other Admissions News

A 4 year undergraduate degree in Engineering or Science (such as BE/BTech/BS), or a five year degree in Science (such as MSc), or equivalent.

AND

At least one of the following

• Should be awarded with a national level fellowship (such as NET JRF) tenable at CSIR institutes
• Should meet all the conditions required for eligibility for the CSIR-GATE-JRF
• Should meetalltheconditionsforawardoftheINSPIREfellowship(typicallyawardedto students ranked first in the University)
• Should meetalltheconditionsstipulatedby AcSIRforProjectAssistants to registerfora Ph.D.
• Should meet all the conditions stipulated by AcSIR for industry sponsored students.

For PhD in Sciences

• Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology, Medicine or Master's degree in Science with a keen sense of scientific enquiry for pursuing advanced research in frontier areas of Biological, Chemical, Physical and Mathematical & Information Sciences leading to a Ph.D. degree.
• The candidate should be having a valid National level fellowship (JRF/ SRF of various funding agencies, e.g. CSIR, UGC, DBT, DST etc.), INSPIRE or other equivalent fellowships.
• Project Assistants, Senior Research Fellows and CSIR Scientists are also eligible to apply (as per AcSIR Ordinance No. 4(5)).
• Sponsored PhD (Sciences):
• Regular: Master’s degree in Science
• Direct: Undergraduate degree in Science or allied subjects with at least 8.5 and/or 1^st rank holder in University/ Institution.

Note:  Applicants qualifying their degree in percentage shall use the formula, CGPA= (Percentage + 5) /10. Applicants with percentage ≥ 95%, shall fill 10 CGPA.
