The candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to appear in upsee-2017 for admission  to  first  year  of B.TECH. / B.ARCH. / B.PHARM. / BHMCT / BFAD / BFA. However, the candidates appearing in the qualifying examinations are also eligible to appear, subject to the condition that they must fulfill the eligibility criteria  at the time of counselling.

1. The subject combination required in the qualifying examination (intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent) for admission to first year of different courses shall be as follows:

2.  For admission to first year of B.Tech./ B.Pharm., candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University without grace in required each compulsory subjects and one optional subject as given above and securing minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST Category candidates) in aggregate in required three subjects.
3. For admission to first year of BHMCT/BFAD/BFA, candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University and securing minimum 45% marks without grace (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in aggregate.
4. For admission to first year of B. Arch., a candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10 + 2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University and securing
   1. Minimum 50% marks in aggregate and
   2. Clearly passed without grace, each compulsory and optional subjects as given above.
5. A candidate possessing three years Diploma in Architecture (10+3) recognized by Central / State Govt., is also eligible for admission to first year of B. Arch. only, and provided the candidate has passed the Diploma examination securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate without grace. Such candidates will have to appear in the entrance examination for first year of B. Arch. Paper 4.
6. For admission to first year of B.Tech.(Agriculture), candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University in agricultural subjects and secured minimum 45% marks without grace (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in aggregate. Also all First year B.Tech. Eligible candidates are also eligible for B.Tech. Agriculture.
7. All candidates who are eligible for admission in B.Tech. Courses are also eligible for B.Tech. (Agriculture Engineering) and B.Tech. (Biotechnology).
