Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIU) formerly Indraprastha University is the first University established in 1998 by Govt. of NCT of Delhi under the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act, 1998 read with its Amendment in 1999 The University is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), India under section 12B of UGC Act.

IPU CET will conduct by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University every for admissions in various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. This year IPU CET 2018 is scheduled on May 13, 2018 for B.Tech and on May 19, 2018 for B.Tech (biotechnology). Through IPU common entrance test (CET) candidate can get admissions to various courses which as follows: B.Tech, B.Sc – Nursing, BHMCT, BJMC, B.Com(Hons.), B.Sc (Medical Technology), BCA, B.Ed., LLB, BA (Economics Hons.), BBA, BAMS, BHMS, Post Graduate Ayurvedic Courses, MBA, M. Tech, M.Sc., MCA, M.Phil., MPT, MOT (Neuro), M.Ed. For B.Arch, LLM, PG Diploma in Women’s Empowerment, MBA (Weekend), and M.Tech (Bio Technology) no CET will be held.

Before applying for the IPU CET first of all, candidate must be check their eligibility criteria which are set by the university. IPU CET eligibility criteria are given below:

  • Candidate should obtain a minimum of 55% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in his/her academics/intermediate or 10+2.
  • Candidate must have passed English subject individually in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidate must have clearly passed his/her intermediate examination or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University.
  • Candidate should have a minimum age of 17 years and 21 years for UG and PG programs respectively and the age limit for PG programs with entry qualification as graduation is 35 years.
  • The candidate must be required that he/she is a citizen of India.

Exam Pattern

IPU CET will be conducted in offline mode and will be of objective type questions. IPU CET contains 150 questions for which each right answer will be awarded 4 marks and negative marking of 1 marks for each incorrect answer. The complete exam pattern in tabular form is given below:

Selection Procedure

The selection process of IPU CET is almost same as other entrance exams which are given below:

  1. Apply for the IPU CET 2018 and prepare wisely for the examination with full enthusiasm.
  2. Appear in the examination which is scheduled on 13th May 2018 at 2:00 PM.
  3. After the declaration of result IPU CET 2018, candidate get his/her rank letter and a cut off will be made for B.Tech applicants.
  4. After the declaration of result candidates will be called for the counselling, scheduled by the IP University on the basis of the candidates rank, and available at the counselling center for allotment of seats in the university and its affiliated colleges.
  5. After the successful counselling and opting their desired college and branch, the candidate will get their allotment letter in which they can take admission to his/her allotted college.
  6. After getting the allotment letter now candidate can visit the allotted college and take admission by depositing his/her admission fees or college fees.

Counselling Procedure

After appearing in IPU CET 2018 successfully and declaration of the result, candidate has to download their rank letter and according to the schedule have to attend the counselling. detailed counselling procedure is given below:

  1. Download call letter of counseling.
  2. Do Registration and make payment of Rs. 1000 as counselling fees.
  3. Log in again using your IPU CET 2018 roll number, name, date of birth and result status.
  4. After submitting academic, personal and contact information candidate will be issued their login ID and password.
  5. Now candidates will have to log in by entering the required details and complete the choice filling process of IPU CET 2018 seat allotment.
  6. Candidates are recommended to fill their choices as many as they can. It will increase their chances of getting selected.
  7. Now candidates will be able to check their allotment status in online mode, seats are allotted according to the candidates ranking, category, region and preference of seats.
  8. Candidates will be able to print their IPU CET 2018 seat allotment letter online by log into their account.

Required documents at the time of Counselling

  • Call letter of counseling (original and photocopy)
  • Admit card or Rank Card
  • Original documents of class 10th and 12th (2 photocopies)
  • Medical Certificate
  • Demand Draft (DD) of admission fee (original and photocopy)

Preparation Strategy

  1. Make regular notes it helps a lot during the exam. Self-written notes are always there in your memory and you can recall it at the time of exams.
  2. Do not memorize only, do some written practice also.
  3. Make your study room clean and airy. You will feel good and will be able to focus on your study.
  4. Do stick to exam timetable. No matter how hard you study for the exam throughout the year, but if you are not regular, nothing is going to help you. So follow the time table religiously.
  5. Make a group of four to five friends(if you feel comfortable in group study) and start study together for two hours daily. This group will help each other to understand the difficult topics before the exams.
  6. You need to plan your exam day. When you have to sleep, to wake up, to revise the topics if something is left. Plan everything one or two days before.
