About University of Petroleum and Energy Studies

The University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (abbreviated as UPES) is an Indian University located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It was established in 2003 through UPES Act, 2003 of the State Legislature of Uttarakhand. The university has entered into international academic collaborations with 40 partners in 18 countries and expanded its reach across the globe.UPES is the only Asian University to receive the World Oil Award.

UPES offers undergraduate specialized programs in B.Tech, BBA, B.A, B.Des, LL.B and postgraduate programs in M.Tech, MBA, M.A, LLM. Apart from these mainstreams courses, it also has specialized areas like cloud computing, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronics engineering, fine arts, big data analytics, public administration, machine design engineering, computer science, petroleum, graphics and gaming and many more.
