SVKM’s NMIMS (commonly known as NMIMS) is a Deemed to be University. The NMIMS is among top 10 B-Schools in India and is a multi-disciplinary University with 6 campuses at Mumbai, Shirpur, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore and Navi Mumbai. The first campus of NMIMS was established in 1981 by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal with the help of a donation from Narsee Monjee Educational Trust as a Management Institute affiliated to University of Mumbai.
The NMIMS has 14 constituent schools that include Management, Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Commerce, Business Economics, Science, Law, Aviation, Liberal Arts, Design, Family Business & Entrepreneurship, Performing Arts & Distance Learning. The university has more than 12000 students and 513 full-time faculty members. The Mumbai campus has 11 Schools and 1 center of excellence (viz. IIPS) in its ambit with each School operating like an independent business unit and having its separate infrastructure.
