St. Stephen's College is a constituent college of the University of Delhi located in Delhi, India. St. Stephen’s College is a religious foundation drawing inspiration from the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. St. Stephen's College was established on 1 February 1881 and is the oldest college in Delhi. Before its affiliation to Delhi University in 1922 it was affiliated to Calcutta University and later to Punjab University and after that finally affiliated with University of Delhi, it became one of its three original constituent colleges.
The motto of the college is “Latin: Ad Dei Gloriam” which means in English "To the Glory of God". The College has an all India and all denomination membership; it has students and teachers from all communities and from all parts of India. There are also some teachers and students from abroad. There is inside the campus providing nearly 250 gentlemen and 108 ladies to inhabit in College. The institute is Ranked No. 1 (In Science) and Ranked No. 2 (In Arts) by India Today and Nielsen Survey in India’s best arts and Science College 2016.
