Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology (commonly known as KNIT Sultanpur) is an autonomous engineering institution located in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India funded by state government. KNIT Sultanpur is among the best engineering colleges of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University in Uttar Pradesh.
The institute was established in 1976 as the Faculty of Technology by Kamla Nehru Memorial Trust. In 1979, it was overtaken by the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh with the vision of developing a full-fledged Engineering Institute in the Eastern UP region better known as the Awadh region. Later, in 1983, the institute was registered as a separate society and renamed as the Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology
The admission to the undergraduate programmes in KNIT Sultanpur will be made through Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE), the counseling is conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University which is based on the merit of candidates in the entrance exam except for Other State Nominees which are nominated by the Government of India.
KNIT Sultanpur offers the undergraduate programme in engineering (B.Tech) in CSE, EE, EEE, ME, CE and IT disciplines, Postgraduate programme in M.Tech and M.C.A. Apart from undergraduate and postgraduate programme KNIT also offers Ph.D. programmes.

Also, to lay emphasis on industry, institute interaction, to develop education programs and to better the entrepreneurship skills of the students.
