Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (abbreviated as IIIT-D or IIIT-Delhi) is a state university located in Okhla Industrial Estate, Phase III, Delhi. IIIT-Delhi was officially established on 10th June 2008 as a State University by an act of Delhi Government as per this notification in the Delhi Gazette.
IIIT Delhi starts its first batch of 60 B.Tech students with 60 CSE students at the Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) campus at Sector 3, Dwarka, New Delhi. In 2012 the institute started functioning from its permanent campus in Okhla after the inauguration of its permanent campus by Smt. Sheila Dikshit, Chief Minister of Delhi. Initially, IIIT Delhi offered only B.Tech programme in CSE but now the institute offering B.Tech., M.Tech. and Ph.D. programs in CSE and ECE.
