Indian Institute of Information Technology Vadodara (abbreviated as IIIT Vadodara) is one of the Indian Institutes of Information Technology set up in Gujarat by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India under Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. The Government of Gujarat helped the Institute by providing 50 acres of land and infrastructural support. It is aimed at providing future candidates who shall become a forerunner in the field of Information Technology. IIIT-V is currently operating and mentored by Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DAIICT) which is also among the best IT institutions in the country.
IIIT-Vadodara is established in 2012 to cater to the emerging needs and opportunities and meet economic challenges being thrown by the endless IT revolution. Students gain exposure to technology by the visiting faculties from the industry and mentoring exercises in both professional as well as in field experiences. Currently, IIIT Vadodara offers Undergraduate Program (B.Tech degree) in Computer Science and engineering and Information Technology Postgraduate program(M.Tech) and Ph.D Programs. The Institute aims at evolving strong research programs in a plethora of areas where IT shall provide a common link with a profound emphasis on the development of technology and its application.
