About Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (abbreviated as RMLNLU) is a law university located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India and fully governed by State government. Earlier RMLNLU was known as Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law Institute and in 2005 it gets the status of University by an Act of Govt. of Uttar Pradesh in 2005, U.P. Act No.28 of 2005.

RMLNLU currently offers the undergraduate programme in B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) (Five years integrated programme), postgraduate degree programme in LL.M. (One year programme) and Ph.D. The admission to RMLNLU is done through CLAT.

The Objectives of the University:

1. To advance and disseminate learning and knowledge of law and legal processes and their role in national development;
2. To develop in the student and research scholar a sense of responsibility to serve society in the field of law by developing skills in regard to advocacy, Judicial and other legal services, legislation, law reforms in the existing laws and the like;
3. To organize lectures, seminars, symposia and conferences, to promote legal knowledge and to make law and legal process efficient instrument of social development;
