The College of Engineering, Trivandrum (Abbreviated as CET) is the first engineering college in Kerala. The Institute is located in the capital of Kerala i.e. Thiruvananthapuram. The institute was established in 1939 during the reign of the Travancore King, Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma.
The campus of CET Trivandrum is spread over an area of 125 Acres. The campus is situated in Kulathoor near Sreekariyam which is 13 km from Thiruvananthapuram Central (railway station). The institute has 8 departments which offered undergraduate degree programmes in 8 streams, postgraduate and doctoral degree programmes in 19 streams. The institute is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University and currently it has around 3500 students, 285 teaching staff and 290 non-teaching staf in B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, M.Plan, MCA and MBA.
