Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad (MNNIT), Allahabad was established in the year 1961 as one of the seventeen Regional Engineering Colleges of India. It was established as a joint enterprise of Government of India and Government of Uttar Pradesh too. It was an associated college of the University of Allahabad, which is the third oldest university in India. Its main objective is to commit to quality and excellence in academic pursuits. It was the first in the country to start an undergraduate program in Computer Science & Engineering in 1976-77 and then subsequently in other branches too. The Institute now offers nine B.Tech., nineteen M.Tech. Degree Programs and also offers MCA, MBA, M.Sc. (Mathematics and Scientific Computing) and Master of Social work (M.S.W.) programs and also takes candidates for the Ph.D degree.

MISSION: To generate high-quality human and knowledge resources in our core areas of competence and in emerging areas to make a valuable contribution in technology for the social and economic development of the nation and to make organized efforts for identification, monitoring and control of objective attributes of quality for continuous enhancement of academic processes, infrastructure and ambiance.
