One of the most unique college in terms of teaching methods and sometime you dont find well structured as most of us are habituated for a structured teaching and learning methods. Bad part will be there sometimes over excessive workload and which hampers day to day work life balance.
There is separate exam for entrance in NID, which comprises of 3 levels, Written, Studio round and the Interview. I opted for this college as i was already in love with creativity but didnt wanted to join art colleges but a Design college and It was the best among them.
Hectic, fun and engaging.
One of the best faculties you can ask for and the best part they are in same passion level for design as all the students are.
The college does provide internships but only if it gets any specific projects or else students have to search by themselves.
As being the best and the oldest of the lot. The placements are pretty nice . But a person has to on to that level to be selected.
Since people from all over the country is here and creativity has a special importance in indian culture so almost every major festivals are celebrated here.
Its neither too much or either less. In terms of Government college its a lot but compared to IIM and private colleges its quite less.
Unlimited Internet, No IN & OUT timings of the hostels ( note: but the campus has and hostels are in the campus ), girls and boys hostel in same campus and mess its good and of good quantity.
There is one for the students with parents having low income and another one by Ford Foundation for the meritorious students.
Alumni do come to the colleges regularly but there is no such alumni network.
One of the party loving and chillout campus but still very professional and work oriented. There are film clubs, rock nights, poetry and street plays etc.
