Magnus was recommended to me by my friend who had earlier taken a course in this institute. I had to take a basic engineering test before joining the institute. I scored 78% marks in the test.

The study material is prepared by the faculty members themselves. They also update it on a regular basis as per the industry (but the basics are not revised). The course covers both the theoretical concepts and the software training. The institute also provides an industrial visit to a course related company.

The faculty members are always exposed to the engineering challenges as they are associated with international projects all the time. Hence they not only provide the basic engineering knowledge but also show the way the industry is growing and what is the current scenario along with the future possibilities.

Magnus is not only an institute but also an engineering company. Occasionally they offer the toppers from the institute a chance to get an internship while working in a live project. During the internship, they trained me about project data management, communication with the client, organizing the project workflow, quality control of engineering drawings and many more things. It was a nice experience before getting placed in a company. I got prepared beforehand.

The institute provides placement assistance. They have an online job portal which connects the candidates with the companies having openings. It is a good move and helped almost everyone in my batch. Some of the companies that I saw during my placement drive were Chlorophyll Technologies, Desmat.

The institute celebrates the Indian festivals in a traditional manner. They also organize annual functions to celebrate the institute's success in which everyone who is a part of Magnus has to participate in cultural activities.

The fee structure is feasible given the quality of education and placement services provided. The fee structure varies depending upon course undertaken. It generally varies from Rs 25000 to 48000 for the entire course.

The institute is surrounded by many PG's which provide food facilities, television and Wifi services. The average monthly rental varies from Rs 4000 to 6000.

Magnus gives scholarship to students who score more than 75% in the entrance test. The scholarship varies depending on the score.

When I was about to join the institute, I met with a couple of seniors who were at the end of their program. They gave me the insight about the field I was about to enter. They also offered me their help when I was unable to grasp some concepts. They are still in touch. Magnus keeps a healthy alumni relationship and call them on special occasions and functions.

The gender ratio is 9:10 (9 being girls). The institute conducts sports programs annually. The teachers encourage candidates for debate on both the technical topics as well as the general topics. The environment is good for overall development of students.
