Basic Details

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MH CET) is a state level entrance exam conducted every year by Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra to get admission into the first year of full-time degree courses of engineering & technology, pharmacy & Pharm.D courses.

The online application form can be filled from the official website of DTE Maharastra once the notification released regarding the availability of online application form. The affiliated colleges with MH CET offered various engineering, health science, law and management courses in which candidate can get admission after passing the MH CET examination successfully.

Eligibility

Before filling the MHT CET online application form candidate must check their eligibility criteria then go for online registration. Eligibility criteria for MHT CET are given below:

First Year - Engineering / Technology

  • Candidate must be passed 12th/10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least required percentage of marks (as notified by the Government from time to time) in the above subjects have taken together.
  • There is no age limit for admission and appearing to MHT CET.
  • The Candidate should be an Indian National to be eligible to apply for MHT CET.

First Year - Pharmacy

  • Candidate must be passed 12th/10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least required percentage of marks (as notified by the Government from time to time) in the above subjects have taken together.
  • There is no age limit for admission and appearing to MHT CET.
  • The Candidate should be an Indian National to be eligible to apply for MHT CET.

First Year- Pharm D.

  • Candidate must be passed 12th/10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least required percentage of marks (as notified by the Government from time to time) in the above subjects have taken together.

OR

  • Candidate must be passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy from institutes affiliated to State Board and having approval of competent central authority and State Government and obtained at least required percentage of marks (as notified by the Government from time to time)
  • The candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks in the MHT-CET 2018.
  • There is no age limit for admission and appearing to MHT CET.
  • The Candidate should be an Indian National to be eligible to apply for MHT CET.

Eligibility criteria for Candidates belonging to Person with Disability

In addition to the basic qualification mentioned above, the candidate who is suffering from any one of the following permanent disability is eligible to seek admission against seats reserved for Persons with Disability candidates which given below:

  • Candidate type- P1: Those candidates who are visually impaired (blind).
  • Candidate type- P2: Those candidates who are speech & hearing impaired (deaf & dumb).
  • Candidate type -P3: Those candidates who have orthopedic disorders, learning disabilities, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Spastic.

These candidates have to submit a certificate clearly stating that the extent of disability is not less than 40% and the disability is of permanent nature.




Exam Pattern

The examination will be conducted at various centers in Maharashtra in between 2nd May to 13th May 2019. MHT CET test paper consists of three question papers. Detailed information about these tests is given below:

Each paper is of 100 Marks and there is no choice among the questions, i.e. all questions are compulsory and candidates have to be answered.

For Engineering / Technology:
These aspirants must have appeared for both Paper 1 and Paper 2.

For  Pharmacy/ Pharm. D:
These aspirants must have appeared for Paper 2 as well as in Paper 1 and/or Paper 3.

Selection Procedure

Registration for MHT CET

First of all, the candidate must have to register himself/herself for MHT CET and fill the online application form. Candidates must check all norms of the examination that you are eligible for MH CET or not before filling the application form.

MHT CET Examination

MH CET 2018 examination is scheduled on 10th May 2018, candidates must have to appear in the exam and give his/her best shot to get decent rank and their desired institute.

MHT CET Results

After the declaration of result, you can download your counselling letter and list down the all-important documents that required at the counselling center and prepare all of them before the counselling date, so that you can avoid the problems arises at the last moment.

Counselling

The last move to get admission in your desired institute is to appear for the counselling where candidates have to fill their preferences of their desired colleges and branch, on the basis of which next day candidate get the allotment letter from his/her preferred institute and have to go to the allotted institute to get admission. 




Counselling Procedure

The counselling of MHT CET 2021 will be started most probabily in the 2nd week of June 2021. All the passed candidates whose names on the merit list of MHT CET 2021 results they have to report to the regional center as per the counselling schedule. Candidates have to do document verification checked by the conducting authority. Candidates have to choose their desired college and available courses in the institute.

Required Documents Candidates have to Carry at Counselling Centre Original copy as well as at least 2 Xerox Copy of each.

  1. Class 10th Marksheet and Passing Certificate.
  2. Class 12th Marksheet and Passing Certificate.
  3. MH CET 2018 Admit Card and Score Card.
  4. Candidates Domicile Certificate.
  5. Candidates Category Certificate.
  6. Candidates Category Medical Fitness Certificate.

Preparation Strategy

  • Practice all the previous year's papers as much as you can and clear your concepts wisely.
  • Understand the complete syllabus & clear each and every single concept from textbooks.
  • Make the timetable of all the subject which asked in the examination and follow it regularly till the examination.
  • Must be aware of the exam pattern and do prepare yourself according to it.
  • Cover all the Topics which is given in the Syllabus so that you will be able to overcome the difficulty level.
  • Practice more and more so that you will become habitual to solve the questions which help in brush up your concepts and you will be also understood Time Management.

Exam Syllabus

The MHT CET Syllabus consists of 11th and 12th standard syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics subjects same as per the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. 20% weightage is given to class 11th syllabus and remaining 80% weightage to 12th standard. The subject wise topics are given below:

MHT CET Syllabus for Physics:

Class XI Syllabus: Force, Friction in Solids and Liquids, Measurements, Magnetic Effect of Electric Current, Magnetism, Ray Optics, Refraction of Light, Scalars and Vectors.

Class XII Syllabus: Atoms, Molecules and Nuclei, Circular Motion, Current Electricity, Elasticity, Electrons and Photons, Electrostatics, Rotational, Communication Systems, Motion, Oscillations, Gravitation, Wave Motion, Electromagnetic Inductions, Magnetism, Wave Theory of Light, Interference and Diffraction, Magnetic Effects of Electric Current, Kinetic Theory of Gases and Radiation, Stationary Waves, Semiconductors.

MHT CET Syllabus for Chemistry:

Class XI Syllabus: Alkanes, Basic Principles and Techniques in Organic Chemistry, Hydrogen, s-Block Elements (Alkali and Alkaline Earth Metals), Redox Reactions, States of Matter: Gases and Liquids, Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Surface Chemistry, s-Block Elements (Alkali and Alkaline Earth Metals).

Class XII Syllabus: Aldehydes, Biomolecules Carbohydrates, Chemistry in Everyday Life, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids, Coordination Compounds, Chemical Thermodynamics and Energetic, Chemical Kinetics, Alcohols, Phenols and Ether Alcohol, d and f Block Elements , Organic Compounds containing Nitrogen, Halogen Derivatives of Alkanes (and arenes), p-Block elements Group 15 elements, Electro-chemistry, General Principles and Processes of Isolation, Solutions and Colligative Properties, Elements, Polymers.

MHT CET Syllabus for Maths:

Class XI Syllabus: Circle and Conics, Factorization Formulae, Probability, Sequences & Series, Sets, Relations and Functions, Straight Line, Trigonometric Functions of Compound Angles, Trigonometric Functions.

Class XII Syllabus: Applications of Definite Integral, Bernoulli Trials and Binomial Distribution, Circle,  Differential Equation, Differentiation, Applications of Derivative, Probability, Linear Programming Problems, Plane, Distribution, Statistics, Integration, Continuity, Line, Three Dimensional Geometry, Vectors, Trigonometric Functions, Conics, Pair of Straight Lines, Matrices, Mathematical Logic Statements.
