JEE Advanced To Be Conducted In GATE Format

As per latest news, the JEE Advanced 2018 will be conducted in a format which followed the GATE exam format. The IIT-Kanpur is the organizing institute of JEE Advanced 2018. This will be the first time JEE Advanced will be conducted in online mode, earlier it was conducted in offline mode. JEE Advanced 2018 is scheduled to be conducted on May 20, 2018.

The rules, in the initial proposal by JEE sub-committee, says the candidates will be allowed to occupy their seats 30 minutes before the examination. Candidates can log in and start reading the instructions 20 minutes prior to the examination. However, a candidate will not be allowed to enter the examination hall after 9:30 am, in the morning shift, and after 2:30 pm, for the evening shift. Also, a candidate will not be permitted to leave the examination hall before the test ends.

Although candidates are not allowed to bring their calculator, mobile or any other electronic devices, candidates will be provided with pads for calculation and also a virtual calculator will be available on the computer screen. 

As per a rule, if a candidate is found tampering with the computer system or wire of the computer system, their candidature of the student can be canceled. All these rules are made by the members of JEE E sub-committee during the meeting. All these proposals are also forwarded to the Joint Admission Board for their approval and guidance.
