Haryana Government To Setup University Named After Guru Gobind Singh

Chief Minister of Haryana made an announcement on Sunday, 30th April 2017, regarding establishing a university in the northern part of the state which would be given named after Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru.

Series of programmes will conclude with a state-level function which is to be held on 17th September 2017 in Sirsa district, by the Sikh community and other organizations to mark the Prakashotsav.

A Sikh museum, an art school and great memorial will be set up at Lohgarh, Yamunanagar district as a souvenir for the Sikh warrior, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.

Other Initiatives:

  1. CM Khattar also announced to open three new passport offices at Hisar, Karnal and Faridabad.
  2. CM warned that encroachments on public spaces will not be tolerated and also ordered to take action against the encroachers, irrespective of their status.
