NEET UG Admissions 2019: Applications Will Begin In November

The registration process for NEET UG online applications form will begin from 1st November 2018. The exam will be held on 5th May 2019. From this year National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination (NEET) will be held by the newly formed examination conducting agency, National Testing Agency (NTA).

NEET UG examination is conducted annually for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India (MCI)/Dental Council of India(DCI) under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.

Previously, HRD minister Prakash Javadekar had announced that the medical entrance examination NEET and national level engineering exam JEE Main will be held twice a year from 2019 in online mode but in the month of August an another statement comes from an official HRD Minister of “Status quo for the undergraduate medical entrance test in 2019 with no change”.

As per media sources, under pressure from the health ministry, the HRD ministry is “reconsidering the decision to conduct NEET twice in 2019. Also, the health ministry has proposed to continue the test on pen-paper mode in 2019”. This year exam will be held in the same pattern as it was held last year and in the same number of languages.
