Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) started the applications for admission to M.Phil.  and Ph.D. programmes in select disciplines for the July 2019 session. Those candidates who are interested they can apply online on or before 25^th March 2019 and pay the application form fees of Rs. 1000/-.

The application form is available only in online mode no offline application form to apply so candidates are required to apply online only. Candidates can apply online from the official admission portal of IGNOU.  Candidates can check the complete schedule from the table given below:

Eligibility Criteria:

For M.Phil.:

1. Candidate should have completed his/ her Master's Degree from a University recognized by UGC in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks [50% marks in the case of SC,ST and OBC (Non-creamy Layer)/ Differently-Abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of UGC from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master'sDegree prior to 19th September,1991] excluding grace marks.

For Ph.D.:

1. How to fill online application form:

1. Visit the official website of IGNOU.
2. Check the alert section on the homepage and click on the link “Online Registration for M.Phil./Ph.D. Entrance Test, July 2019”.
3. Complete the registration process.
4. After successfully registration, login to your account and fill the online application form by providing your personal details, programme details, qualification details and correspondence details.
5. Upload scanned photograph and signature in a prescribed manner.
6. Pay the online application form fee through debit card/credit card (Master/Visa/Rupay) or Net banking.

Note: Once you have uploaded your photograph and signature, and clicked the "NEXT" button, you will get the Form Preview option. Save/Print your form for future reference.
