SRM Joint Entrance Examination for Engineering (SRMJEEE) is a joint entrance examination for admission to B.Tech and M.Tech degree programmes offered in its various campuses at Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani and Ghaziabad campuses of SRM University Chennai, Amaravati campus of SRM University in Andhra Pradesh and Sonepat Campus of SRM University in Haryana.
SRM Joint Entrance Examination for Engineering is conducting every year by SRM University for admission to Undergraduate and Postgraduate offered programs by the SRM University. There is common entrance exam held for all campuses. The participating institutes in SRMJEEE 2020 is SRM University Chennai, SRM University-AP Amaravati and SRM University, Haryana Sonepat. To get admission at SRM University candidate can apply online from the appropriate link provided below. The online application portal is now opened, the candidate can apply for the available program in which they want to pursue. The application cum entrance examination fee is Rs. 1100/-.

SRM Aspirants who want to appear in the SRMJEEE 2021 have to meet all eligibility criteria which is given below:
1. Academic Criteria:
- Candidate should be appearing in Higher Secondary examination (10+2) in the current academic year or passed Higher Secondary examination in the current academic year with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology / Botany & Zoology/ Biotechnology as compulsory subjects in his/her academics as a full-time regular program and should be recognized from any state board within India, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, or NIOS.
- Those candidates who have NOT studied Mathematics as one of its subjects in 11th and 12th they are only eligible for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering programmes in SRMJEEE 2021.
- Those candidates who have International Baccalaureate (IB) with Diploma, or A-level with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology / Botany & Zoology/ Biotechnology as major subjects in any International schools within India and these candidates must satisfy the campus-specific and programme-specific eligibility criteria and they are eligible to appear in SRMJEEE 2021.
- Those candidates who have completed their 10th and 12th in National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) they are not eligible for SRMJEEE 2021.
2. Age Criteria:
- Undergraduate Programmes:
Those candidates who have born on 1st July 2000 or thereafter but before 1st July 2005, they are eligible for SRMJEEE 2021. - Postgraduate Programmes:
Those candidates who have born on 1st July 1996 or thereafter but before 1st July 2001, they are eligible for SRMJEEE 2021.
3. Nationality:
- Resident Indian, Non-Resident Indian (NRI), holder of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India are eligible to apply under International student category only for SRMJEEE 2021.

After shortlisting in SRMJEEE aspirants have to follow the below guidelines for their selection:
- There will be common counseling takes place for Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani and Ghaziabad campuses of SRM University Chennai, Amaravati campus of SRM University –AP and Sonepat Campus of SRM University – Haryana, held at any one or multiple campuses.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for counseling session based on the Rank obtained in SRMJEEE.
- Candidate can opt one or more counseling sessions that will be held depending on the vacancy position.
- During counselling, candidates can choose their preferred university, specialization/branch of study in a particular campus based on the merit order and availability of seats at that point of time.
- During selection of specialization/branch candidate have to be paid the full tuition fees and other applicable fees at the time of counseling
- After the counselling procedure and deposit of fees Provisional Allotment Letter (PAL) will be issued to confirm the candidate’s admission.
After the declaration result of SRMJEEE 2021, counselling details will be announced with the candidate's merit and their rank. There will be 35,000 rank holders are eligible for admission that too if they meet all the eligibility criteria and allow to download their counselling letter.
Important documents required at the time of counselling:
- SRMEEE 2021 counselling call letter.
- SRMEEE 2021 rank card.
- SRMEEE 2021 hall ticket
- Class 10th mark sheet.
- Class 12th or equivalent mark sheet.
- Demand draft of the amount specified on candidates call letter in favor of SRMIST payable at Chennai.
- Documents regarding caste/community proof.
- SRMJEE-2020 examination will be online mode (Computer Based) and time duration of 2 hours 30 minutes and all questions will be Multiple Choice Questions.
- There are total 105 questions awarded 3 marks to each for the correct answer and no negative marking for wrong choices.
- It will consist 3 sections and there will be no break throughout the exam and exam pattern is given below:

- Make regular notes. It helps a lot during the exam. Self-written notes are always there in your memory and you can recall it at the time of exams.
- Make formula charts, periodic table, grammar rules chart, diagrams related to topics and stick those on the wall its always help in understanding the topic.
- Start the serious preparation before a month of the exam because last-minute hard work is not going to do any good to you.
- Do not memorize only, do some written practice also and make a separate list of tough questions.
- Plan your exam day, when you have to sleep, to wake up, to revise the topics if something is left. Plan everything one or two days before.
