TNEA 2018 To Be Conducted In Online Mode
Higher Education Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr KP Anbazhagan confirmed that the annual admission process for engineering courses in Tamil Nadu, i.e., Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) will be conducted in online mode from this year. Earlier the admission process was conducted in offline mode, which has caused hassles many a time. To overcome such issues the admission process will now be conducted in online mode. For smooth operation of an online process, the state government has planned to set 44 centres across 32 districts in the state. Although the number of centres is not fixed, if in any district the number of applicants is more, the number of centres set up will be increaseed in that district. Anna University, government-aided and government colleges affiliated to Anna University will be used as facilitation centres. Government Polytechnic colleges, arts and science colleges will be also be used, if required, as facilitation centres. A SMS alert will be sent to candidate after every stage of counselling. To complete the online counselling process, a candidate has to complete following 3 steps: 1.Registration and application Candidates will have to register online or offline (at any facilitation center). The cost for registration is Rs. 500 for general and Rs. 250 for SC/ST. 2.Certificate Verification Candidates will have to verify their documents at the facilitation centres.
