New Syllabus To Be Introduced To Engineering Courses By AICTE

AICTE is planning to release new syllabus for the new academic year. The new syllabus is made to overcome the shortcomings of the old syllabus which lacked latest technological developments and the new syllabus is made in such a way that it can help students get a job. The new syllabus is made following current industrial requirement so that industrial requirement and college syllabus is in sync with each other.

The syllabus change has brought to fight unemployment faced by engineers as they are not equipped with the appropriate knowledge as it required in the industry. The students have to undergo a mandatory 3-week orientation program which is a part of the syllabus. The orientation program will help students from various background to correlate with each other. There are students who face inferiority complex as their command over the English language is not good, so these will help them overcome such hindrance.

The changes are brought in syllabus also the faculty members are trained. The council is preparing a handbook for faculty members and in addition to the training session, a 5-day workshop is also conducted for college representatives so that they can keep up their pace with current trends. These representatives have to train other faculty members in their college and other college faculties in their region.
