NDA NA II Examination 2018: Notification Out And Application Starts, Apply Now

The official notification for National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) examination (II) 2018 has been released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The registration process is started from today, 6th June 2018, and will be open upto 02nd July 2018 till 6.00 PM and the exam will be conducted on 9th September 2018

Those aspirants who want to get admission to the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA, for the 142nd course, and for the 104th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) they can apply online from the official website of UPSC. The NDA exam will be conducted on 9th September 2018 and those candidates who will clear the exam they have to appear for SSB interview.

Eligibility Criteria:

The applicants, who want to apply for the examination, should ensure that they are fulfilling all the eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. The eligibility criteria are given below:

  1. A candidate must be an unmarried male and must be :
    1. A citizen of India, or a subject of Bhutan, or a subject of Nepal, or
    2. A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
    3. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  2. The candidates should not be born earlier than 2nd January 2000 and not later than 1st January 2003.
  3. For Army Wing of National Defence Academy:— Candidate should be the 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
  4. For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy:— Candidate should be the 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
  5. Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2018 as per guidelines are given in Appendix-IV.

How to Apply for NDA and NA II Examination:

  1. Visit the official website of UPSC online application “upsconline.nic.in/”.
  2. Click on "Online application for various examinations of UPSC" link. Click Here
  3. Before filling up the form, candidates are advised to carefully go through the detailed notice of NDA & NA Examination-II, 2018 available on the Commission’s website [www.upsc.gov.in] dated 06.06.2018.
  4. NDAII will be shown in the list with a set of two options namely "PART-I Registration" and "PART-II Registration".
  5. Clicking on "PART-I Registration" if not registered yet.
  6. Clicking on "PART-II Registration" would take you to the second part of the online application.
  7. Fill all the required and relevant information such as personal details and education details.
  8. After successful PART-I registration, complete PART-II registration process by login through registration no and DOB.
  9. In PART-II registration process, pay the application fee through available options (payment can be done through Pay by Cash/Pay by Card/ Pay by Net Banking options).
  10. After the successful payment, applicants have to select a Centre of Examination from the drop-down menu.
  11. Upload the images of recent Photograph and Signature in the prescribed format available in the notification.
  12. After filling up the form, submit the form and an E-mail would be sent to the registered e-mail id of the applicant.

Note: Applicants should note that there will be a ceiling on the number of candidates allotted to each of the Centres except Chennai, Dispur, Kolkata and Nagpur. Allotment of Centres will be on the 'first-apply-first allot' basis, and once the capacity of a particular Centre is attained, the same will be frozen. Applicants are, thus, advised that they may apply early so that they could get a Centre of their choice.
