Indian Institutes Have Capabilities Of Better Ranking In The World, Says President Of India

A very exciting news surfaced about IISc Bangalore, being ranked as among the Best Small Universities in the world, in a survey conducted by UK’s Times Higher Education (THE). It is the only and first institute from India to make it to the top 10 in the rankings.

Last year two Indian institutes - Savitribai Phule Pune University and Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, were ranked at 14th and 18th positions respectively.

 

The President said in a message to Mr. Anurag Kumar, Director, IISc, the following important things:

"Kindly convey my sincere compliments to the entire faculty, staff and students of your esteemed institute for having responded to my repeated calls to strive to be amongst the top institutions of higher learning in the world. 

"This achievement reiterates my firm belief that Indian institutions are not lacking in merit and can be amongst the best in the world,"


"I'm confident your institution will continue to strive and achieve greater and greater heights in the future,"
