Grace Marking Policy Is Likely To Be Scrapped From Class 12 Board Exams
As per media reports, the MHRD is all set to remove the grace marking policy or also known as marks moderation so that the process of getting admissions gets easier in the country altogether. The HRD Ministry has called a meeting of all state school boards on April 24 in order to build consensus on a proposal to scrap the policy of 'marks moderation' or 'grace marks'. CBSE Officials said following to PTI "The ministry has called a meeting of all state education secretaries and chairmen of the state boards on April 24 and the issue is likely to be taken up there. The recommendations by the CBSE will be taken into account and we will see if a consensus can be arrived at with the states." Related Facts: What is Grace Marking policy? Sometimes this Grace in marks results in overall inflation of cutoffs thus making it tough for many students to meet the cutoffs of prestigious institutions in the country.
