Coffee Board of India invites applications for Post Graduate Diploma in Coffee Quality Management (PGDCQM) for the academic year 2018-19. The interested aspirants can apply for the course on or before 14th August 2018. The fees for the course will be Rs. 2,50,000/- for 12 months duration (3 trimesters) and conducted in English.

Admission for Post Graduate Diploma in Coffee Quality Management (PGDCQM) is open to candidates from open category and preference will be given to those sponsored by coffee industry. The final selection of the candidate will be decided by the committee based on academic record, personal interview and sensory evaluation test. The selected candidates will get free accommodation for the first trimester only at CCRI, Balehonnur, Chikmagalur.

Coffee Board of India has instituted a postgraduate course to support the requirements of the Indian coffee industry for trained personnel with the specific knowledge and skills required to function as coffee tasters. In this course curriculum, students will learn in detail about Coffee cultivation practices, coffee marketing, quality evaluation techniques and quality assurance systems, training sessions.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. The Applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects namely Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Bioscience, Food Technology, Food Science, Environmental Science or a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences.
  2. There is no age limit for the course.
  3. Foreign students admitted under open and sponsored categories should be well versed in the English language. Their admission is subject to the clearance of Govt. of India.

Admission Procedure:

  1. Applicants can download the application forms from the official website or collect personally from Coffee Board, Bangalore premises.
  2. The Application form should be filled correctly and properly and candidates have to send it along with a demand draft for Rs.1500/- payable to “Coffee Board IEBR Account” and a self-addressed envelope (9”x 6”) should reach to the address Divisional Head (Coffee Quality), Coffee Quality Division, 3 rd Floor, Coffee Board No.1, Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Veedhi. Bangalore-560 001, India by 14th August 2018.
