Hindi To Be Made Compulsory For All CBSE Till Class 10th
.It may soon make compulsory for all CBSE schools to teach Hindi till class 12th, including centrally run Kendriya Vidyalayas and Central Hindu School. honourable President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee has given “in-principal-approval to the suggestion. Though the President turned down a recommendation that wanted a minimum knowledge of Hindi to be one of the preconditions for a government job. The human resource and development (HRD) ministry has also been instructed to form a policy in consultation with the state governments to make the language compulsory. As a first step, Hindi should be made a compulsory subject up to standard 10 in all schools of CBSE and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan,” the Presidential order said. “The Centre should form a policy in consultation with state governments,” it added.
