Class 10th, 12th Examination Date, Expected, To Be Released In January

 

CBSE may release schedule for class 10 and 12 examinations in January 2018. An official confirmation regarding this is yet not made. CBSE is waiting for the election date for four states- Meghalaya, Tripura, Nagaland and Karnataka, once the dates are cleared CBSE can release examination dates. The date sheet will be published on the CBSE’s official website (“cbse.nic.in”).

Last year examination dates were out on January 9, 2017, and examinations were held on March 9 to April 10 and from March 9 to April 29 for class 12. This year it is also expected that the examination may be held in the month of March.

Also, the board has asked all affiliated schools to send their regular and experienced teachers for marking the copies in order to ensure quality and error-free evaluation, failing which, they will lose the affiliation with the Board.

"Smooth and efficient conduct of class 10 and 12 examinations along with declaration of result in time with accuracy has always been the foremost endeavour of the Board," CBSE said in the circular issued recently.

As per sources, CBSE is currently working on the formalities of the All India Secondary School Examination or class 10 and All India Senior School Certificate Examination or class 12 board exam date sheets. As it is already ready the stakeholders will be intimidated.

Meanwhile, in an official notification on December 18, 2017, CBSE has confirmed about conducting AISSE and AISSCE exam for class 10 and 12 in March 2018.

As per the teacher who also handles the CBSE correspondence for a leading school in the city confirmed that March 1 is more likely to be the date of commencement of the board examinations.

A proposal was made y board to provide more time for evaluation had hit the headlines and it was expected that the examination may be scheduled in the month of February so as to give more time to evaluators. But we should not jump to conclusions as the date is yet to be announced officially.

Further, a total of 10,88,891 students applied for class 12, out of which 6,28,865 were boys and 4,60,026 were girls, while over 16 lakh students appeared for class 10, last year
