25 New Medical Colleges To Open In The Country

Finance minister Arun Jaitley proposed to open 25 new medical colleges across the country and the central government agreed to it. As per the report, around Rs. 250 crores will be sanctioned for each college.

The setup is divided into five zones each comprising of 3 parliamentary constituencies, where one medical college will be set up. The five zones are Buxar-Ara- Pataliputra, Samstipur-Supaul- Araria, Jamui-Munger- Banka, Vaishali-Gopalganj-Siwan, and Sheohar-Sitamarhi- Madhubani.

"State government has asked to avail land for the establishment of a cancer research center at Muzaffarpur". Said by Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Union Minister of State for Health.

The foundation stone of this institution is said to be laid by the prime minister of India, Narendra Modi. The estimated cost of this institution is around Rs.200 crore and will be helped by Bhabha Atomic Research Institute. It is also planned to set up diagnostic centers in all 38 districts of Bihar so as to ensure more lives can be saved.
