Lovely Professional University popularly also known as LPU is conducting National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST-2017) for B.Tech aspirants every year. Students studying in 12th class can apply for LPUNEST-2017. LPUNEST or LPU National Entrance and Scholarship Test was started in 2009 and since then has been one of the largest entrance tests in India with approximately 3 lakh students registering for the test. Registrations for LPUNEST-2017 begin from 1st Week of November 2016 onwards. The Test will be conducted in online mode and it has no pen and paper mode for the students
This test has an advantage as it will act as Entrance Test as well as Scholarship Test, thus benefitting students from all backgrounds.

Nationality
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for LPUNEST-2017
Qualifying Examination:
- Applicants appearing for LPUNEST-2017 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2017, in final examination of 10 + 2 from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.
Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination:
- Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English)* subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2017

- For B.Tech. Biotechnology (BT), B.Tech. (BT - Food Technology), B.Tech. Biotechnology (Hons.), Integrated B.Tech. Biotechnology (BT) - M.Tech., Integrated B.Tech. Biotechnology (BT) - MBA and Integrated B.Tech. (BT - Food Technology) - MBA
- Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, English & Maths or Biology or Biotechnology; other things remaining same as above.
- For B.Tech. Chemical Engineering (CHE), B.Tech. (CHE - Petroleum), Integrated B.Tech. Chemical Engineering (CHE) - MBA and Integrated B.Tech. (CHE - Petroleum) - MBA
- Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English; other things remaining same as above.
- For B.Tech. (ME- Agriculture Engineering), and Integrated (ME- Agriculture Engineering) - MBA
- Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English or 10+2 (Agriculture); other things remaining same as above.
Question Paper pattern for LPUNEST-2017
The test duration is of 150 minutes (2 hrs. 30 min.) and consists of 110 multiple choice questions (MCQ) of the objective type.

Students admitted through LPUNEST -2017 may avail Scholarship on basis of any of the following:
On The basis of performance in LPUNEST – 2017 :
‘Top 35% applicants’ appearing for LPUNEST (subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2017), will be eligible for Scholarship upto INR1.5 Lac per annum (i.e upto INR 7.5 lac in case of 5 years integrated Programme and INR6 Lac in case of 4 years for B.Tech. programmes). Scholarship details are as per the following table :
