IIM Lucknow to fund startups

IIM Lucknow is hosting a contest for startups. Participants from anywhere across the country are welcomed at this contest. The institute is planning to award10 startups ideas with financial support, marketing guidance and infrastructure. The ‘entrepreneurial launch pad’ at IIM Lucknow is looking for 10 good startup ideas and will help these startups grow at IIM-L incubation center also known as L Incubator. Not only in Lucknow but Noida based center will also provide marketing in the NCR region.

Participants who are willing to enroll their startups for the contest must ensure that their startup is recognized by “Startup India” and also the company should be a registered one. Although non-registered companies with excellent ideas can also try their luck.

There is no specification to the field on which the startup should be focused but fields like of IoT, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, Analytics, 3D printing and Virtual and augmented reality are preferable. This does not at all mean other ideas are not eligible.

The registration for the contest can be done in online mode. The last date to register is 28 February 2018. The last date for registration may extend, but there is no such official notice regarding the same.
IIM offers:

  • Funding amount will be decided by the IIM Lucknow and may vary from 5 lakhs to 25 lakhs.
  • The workspace will be provided.
  • Access to companies such as ONGC, HPCL, GAIL and others is also provided through MoUs of the institute.
  • Faculty member of IIM Lucknow and market experts will help startups for business expansion.
