The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) is an institution of legal education. It was the first National Law University to be established in India which focuses on undergraduate and graduate legal and policy education in India. NLSIU was the first institute in India to offer a five-year intensive course in social sciences and law.
The Chief Justice of India is the Chancellor of the National Law School of India University and the administration is managed by the Vice-Chancellor. The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate law programme named as five-year integrated B.A. L.L.B. (Hons.) programme, Masters of Law and recently introduced, Master of Public Policy respectively.
