The National Institute of Technology, Mizoram or NITMz is one of the 31 NITs across India established in the year 2010. It is one of the 10 new NITs established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and is located in the capital city of Mizoram, Aizawl. The motto of NIT, Mizoram is "Knowledge is the Ultimate Goal". NIT, Mizoram provides courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc. & Ph.D. Students get admission in this institute through JEE MAINS examination conducted by CBSE and through the counselling conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority(JoSAA). NIT, Mizoram has a campus extending up to 190.35 Acres.
"ANUNAAD" is its annual techno-cultural fest while "SHAURYA" is its annual sports fest. The famous photography club of NITMz is known as "DRISTHI". 'S4O' (Search for Origin) is the Science Club of NITMz which brings together the bright minds of NITMz to understand the depth of technical skills (science beyond technology). NITMz consists of 3-boys hostel and 1-girls hostel for accommodation.
