The National Institute of Technology, Delhi or NITD is a public engineering institution established in the year 2010. It is one of the 10 new NITs established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). Nowadays the institute functions on a temporary IAMR Campus, Sector 7, Narela. The story of NITD is quite interesting. Since the establishment of NITD, its first two years of academic classes were carried out at NIT, Warrangal .That's why NIT, Warangal is called mentor institute of NIT, Delhi. After these two crucial years, the institute started functioning in Dwarka region of New Delhi. "SAPTRANG" is the annual cultural fest observed in NITD every year in the month of May. In NITD 50% seats are reserved for Delhi and Chandigarh students and the remaining 50% for the students of remaining states.
