The Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya (abbreviated as IIM-BG) is an autonomous public business school situated in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, India. On 31 August 2015, Former Human Resource and Development Minister, Smriti Irani, inaugurated the academic session at IIM-Bodh Gaya after which the first batch of Post Graduation Program (PGP) in Management started. Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya, is being mentored by the oldest Indian Institute of Management, Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, which has also monitored Indian Institute of Management Ranchi earlier.
In 2014, the newly formed Government of India announced IIM Bodh Gaya in 2014 Union Budget and in January 2015, Smriti Irani, former HRD Minister cleared the proposal for its campus in Bodh Gaya. After which, Government of Bihar selected 118 acres of land in Bodh Gaya inside Magadh University campus. As per Interim summer placement report, 42 companies including KPMG, SBI, Fujitsu, Airtel, BPCL, NTPC, participated in the placement process.Out of 52,42 students participated in placement process and overall 67 offers were made.The highest stipend offered was INR 1,60,000 and average stipend offered was INR 47,250.
