Its campus in Punjab was established in the year 2002 by Chitkara Educational Trust and in the year 2010, under “The Chitkara University Act” it was established as Chitkara University by the Punjab State Legislature. The sprawling campus is spread over 50 acres and the University is equidistant from Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Ambala and Patiala.
